Kira Kimble, CDDoula TrainerOriginally from Erie, PA, Kira Kimble is a Certified Doula, Doula Agency Owner, Doula Trainer, Mentor and founding member of the National Black Doulas Association. She puts her years of doula experience to work when she trains aspiring doulas to become compassionate and effective doulas. As a trainer she uses her vast knowledge and body of experience to teach students about how to support families in a variety of settings including hospitals, birth centers and home birth environments. She also has experience in supporting VBAC, Plus Size Pregnancy, high risk and a variety of unmedicated and medicated birth scenarios.
Prior to becoming a birthworker, Kira had a career in marketing at The Charlotte Observer, the Gaston Gazette and The Winston-Salem Journal. She graduated from Wake Forest University with a degree in business with concentrations in Business Law and Marketing. She also attended Phillips Academy in Andover, MA where she received a global education that inspired her love of languages. She studied Japanese and Spanish and currently provides doula support to families in both English and Spanish. |
